  1. Definitely interested in following along in the design of your new home. I’ll be anxious to get tips for my own home.
p.s. Definitely like John’s idea about the tv and bookshelves.

  2. Love your idea to create an English inspired mud room in the front entry closet. The space could be very functional, as well as beautiful. Some gorgeous wallpaper would make the space very charming. 😊

  3. I like the recommendation that John made about the great room moving the furniture around. There’s a television set that I’ve been seeing that everybody gets I believe it’s a Samsung television set that when it’s not being used can be converted to look like a piece of art and you can change the piece of art all the time on it and it has a frame so when the television is not in use hang on the wall looking like artwork. I think that would work really well for you in your living room whether you do the furniture the way John says are not but I do feel that that is the best way of doing the furniture. I also like the idea of the folding doors in that one hallway of course look for some nice looking high-end doors I feel like that would work best so that it doesn’t take up room when you’re opening the doors. You can always donate those closet doors to habitat. You can still have the gold knobs and I’m sure they must have some nice high-end looking bifold doors that would look lovely there.

  4. Lovely home. I noticed the utility room does not have door. Could you add a pocket door to block out the noise from the washer and dryer?

  5. Ok. So, I started watching but was distracted by that beautiful orange top. I skipped to the end to see if there was an outfit of the day. 😅 Now, I’m going back to finish watching. 🤷🏽‍♀️

  6. When your garden matures, you might want to position the furniture so that the window is the focal point of the great room. 🪴🪴🪴

  7. I think the book shelves would work in your office. If not used somewhere else, I would choose where John suggested on the wall by the door in the great room. I would move your sofa and all furniture more toward the fireplace. It looks like there is enough room to move it closer. Then if there was room behind the sofa, put the table from your studio behind the sofa. The large wall where the bookcase was could feature artwork and the TV.

  8. Congrats Linda – love your “Story Book Cottage”. I just wanted to say that if you do choose to have a TV above your mantel, you can use your existing TV and use YouTube to select paintings to display…. The Museum Ambience is my favorite and you can use your existing TV. file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/9b/11/E5726D2B-B650-46D0-9970-37CD10AA214C/IMG_0781.HEIC

You have been such an inspiration for me and can’t wait to follow along!

  9. Linda, the first thing I would do is,install a ornate black metal fence. It is a very English look, and being that your on a corner, even more important.

  10. I also think that if you want to wrap the shelf in the kitchen that the brass would work…but covering it in stainless would make it look like a restaurant kitchen and would take away the vibe the kitchen has now.

  11. It would be so exciting to investigate the people that lived in this house over the years. A historical footprint. I would love to see that. Honoring the houses past. What a beauty tribute to the house.
